Science and Literature on the Farm – 8-11 year olds – Learning is everywhere on a farm and we will find it!  In this year-long class, we will explore the sciences of chemistry and biology as they are encountered on our farm.  Following a morning of scientific explorations, we will delve into the literary world and enjoy a variety of farm related books and literature studies together.  After lunch, longtime music teacher Beth Magill will join us for a thirty-minute penny whistle class.

Nature Studies and Seasonal Celebrations – 5-7 year olds – Celebrate the natural world each week through stories, songs, and science!  Each week will be part of our journey through the seasons of the year as we explore the changes happening in the world around us.  We will have daily nature explorations and stories, circle time, a seasonal snack, and music time with longtime Kindermusik teacher Beth Magill.

These classes are designed to supplement children’s homeschooling experiences with a day of group learning activities. The cost for each class is $105/month for the months of September through April with payment due the first class day of each month.

Nature Study Days

These monthly classes allow children to learn about nature through experiencing it. Children spend the day on Adelbert Farm, a 130 acre former apple farm in Fairview with open pasture, wooded trails, and a beautiful creek. Each month will provide a new topic of study from black bears and tracking animals to plants in different environments. Nature Study Days last from 9:00 – 1:00, cost $25, and registration information for each class is sent in a monthly e-mail.
