All of our produce is grown without the use of chemicals and most is harvested on the day of delivery. To order, copy and paste the order form into an email, complete the form, and send it to adelbertfarm@gmail.com. Delivery is available to Asheville and Fairview on Monday and Wednesday and to Black Mountain on Tuesday.
We currently have fresh eggs available for $5 per dozen and goat milk for pet food for $3 per quart. All of our animals are pasture raised and fed organic grain. Within the next week or two, we will have red leaf lettuce, chard, kale, snow peas, and sugar snap peas available.
Chicken Co-op
Yep, you read that right. We aren’t selling chicken coops, we are selling shares in a chicken co-op! For $70 and 4 hours of chicken work-time per annual share, you can opt into our chicken co-op! You can “own” one of our chickens without having to feed her on a cold winter morning or change the bedding. You will receive eggs equivalent to the amount laid by one chicken each week. Plus, you have unlimited visiting rights to our entire flock of chickens! Kids love chickens and you can bring yours to play with our chickens, gather eggs, and feed the flock. If you don’t want to visit weekly, we will deliver your eggs to you! We estimate a minimum of 15 dozen eggs per chicken share per year. Note that hens lay the most during the summer months and the least during the winter months. All of our chickens are fed organic feed and free range on over an acre of pasture. Egg deliveries are made in Asheville on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays and in Black Mountain on Thursdays. Shares are available for purchase now and the year will go from January 1, 2012 until December 30, 2012. Only 10 shares will be sold this year. Buy now!
